Saddlebag Mounting Points

I just got the Triumph saddlebags from another member. These are the bags that curve like the rear fender does. I had a tough time finding the appropriate mounting points....can someone send me a pic of their saddle bag mounting points (where the bars attach to the bike)?

Thanks!

You might have the brackets for a different model TBird

They Fasten to the passenger footpeg mounting bolt, and to the subframe.
The part of the subframe that bolts on under the rider footpeg mounts..follow that tube up, where that tube meets the tube that is under the seat is the other mounting point. The rear subframe changed when the TBird got the 6 speed gearbox. So the brackets changed also. On the earlier models there is a gusset where those two tubes meet you have to drill out the hole to mount those brackets. I don't know how the upper mount is configured on the later bikes.

I've heard that some folks have been able to adapt them, but don't know the details.

Thanks. I'll have to do some checking. Unfortunately, I won't be there for another month or two, so I'll have to wait. Oh, and how the heck do you know all this???

Anyone have any pics?

I was going to purchase some identical bags for a Bonnie that looked like they would go right on the T-bird but I noticed that the part numbers were different.
Anyone know what the differences are in the bags?
