Anyone put the EBC rotors (p/n MD649LS & RS) on their TBS?

If so, any thoughts? Where did you get them? I am having trouble finding the RS part anywhere...

One of the TTBSR members ordered up the rotors for his TBS but ended up returning them and getting the stock ones.

In reply to your question I did order the EBC MD 643 rear rotor but
after consideration I ordered the Triumph rear rotor and sent the EBC
back. The reason is I didn't like the blue tint of the cast and zinc
plated rotor. I'm sure it would of performed fine but in staying
with the classic I decided I would stick to the originals I believe
the originals are Stainless Steel and I tend to appreciate stainless
more than cast. EBC sells the fronts for $200.00 ea. And the rear
for $135.00 so if I end up replacing all rotors eventually the cost
would be $535.00 The triumph rotors are 180.00 ea. Total cost of
$540.00 to stay original and I think they look better.

I do have the FA196HH installed on the front and they seam to work
fine good stopping power. I'm keeping an eye on them to see if they
wear on the rotors abnormally
I'll be replacing my front rotors (80k miles on em) soon and will use the stock as well. I run the FA196 (not HH) pads.

The order direct info is CLICKIE. You will find the EBC application PDF there as well.

I ordered the EBC's from http://www.whitebuffaloracing.com for $120 each... much better than the quote for stocks, which was $163 each.

I have no prob with a blue tint to the rotor, and want the additional stopping power cast iron provides.

I think I know why, I checked the latest tucker rocky catalogue and they are currently listing the MD649LS disc but not the MD649RS...

Someone, somewhere screwed up by not listing the other part in the catalogue, if it was listed pretty much any dealer in the USA would have been able to order you both discs.

Kind of funny how little mistakes like that flow on to effect people like that, except of course when it means for some illogical reason people tell you :
"you can't have both discs , only the left one... the right disc part number you speak of isn't listed / available "

I finally got these discs in - even though they are listed as LS and RS on the box - the things are bleedin' identical by every dimension I can measure. They even have the same number stamped on them. Once they are out of the box, you would never be able to tell them apart.

So, I would imagine that it makes little difference if I used the LS or RS on either side of the bike.

Dont want to start a rumour but.....I have a pair of stainless steel rotors as part of a initial baike trial for EBC. Was only by luck that I got offered them but they look great on my Triple and apparently all EBC bike rotors will be stainless!! Cool eh!

EBC Stainless - that would be a treat - but too late for me. I ordered the OE rotors last night.

Triumph only has a single number for the front rotors and I ask the parts person about that. He indicated that he had only seen individual numbers for left and right rotors when there was a drilling pattern in them that would have been reversed if mounted on the wrong (visually) side.
