Can I install a stock Thunderbird exhaust setup on a Legend? If not what are some good sources for a decent set of peashooters. And will I need major carb adjustments? Riding for decades but still a mechanical idiot.
Thanks!

I've seen peashooters on a Legend. Shouldn't be a problem. In fact when I changed the sprocket on my Legend I had to remove the mufflers. It's just one bolt on the footpeg and one on the pipe. Slip off/slip on. Cant see why it would be any different with TBird mufflers.
P.S. I did not re-jet. I sorta like the (Minor)popping on de-cell
Good luck, ride safe ,Gdsila

I have peashooters on my 99 legend. The Triumph part number is 9730001. Although they are "not for rad use" they are not real loud unless accelerating. They fit, look and sound great. I have pics on my photo album.

safe riding

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
Legend and thunderbird mufflers are interchangeable, no jetting changes are required.

Here's a tip though - do not try to remove the steel mounting brackets from the mufflers. Doing so can trash the mnuffler (the captive nut breaks loose very easily).. Simply undo the single bolt that holds them to the subframe and remove the muffler complete with its brackets. The brackets are cheap (about $10 each IIRC) and held on by M8 stainless bolts. buy a new set for the new mufflers, if your replacements don't already have them (which they wont if you buy new).
