I have to pull the clutch cover to do a repair (related to the dreaded alternator rattle). Anyway, I will need to refill the bike with oil. I live in Michigan and the riding season is almost over. I am thinking of using regular 10w-30 motorcycle oil (BelRay) because I will probably only put another 500-800 miles on that oil this season. Any reason I should not do that??
Could it adversely affect the engine internals??

Superscythe, the break-in oil Triumph recommended for my 2K model was their own dino (mineral) oil so a dino motorcycle oil isn't going to any damage in the short term. Just follow the manufacturer's recommendations and you should be fine.
