Will a Speedmaster seat fit a Legend?

I am looking to change the seat on my 2000 Legend and I found this SEAT

Just wondering if the Triumph seats are somewhat interchangeable or what kind of modifications would it need?

Thanks.

It would not fit without major modifications. The only seat interchangeble with yours is a late (1999 on) Thunderbird

Mick is correct about a Legend seat but... I don't think that's a Legend seat on your bike. The Legend has a two-person seat that attaches to the rear frame via some screws. Yours looks to me like an Adventurer solo seat... I'm wondering if the guy who customized your bike put an Adv. sub-frame on there?

I still doubt a Speedmaster seat would fit w/o major mods, but at least they'd both be a locking seat (which is a major diff. w/ the stock Legend seat).

If it is a (locking) Adventurer seat, I'd keep an eye out for Adventurer parts... I'm pretty sure they made a two-up seat in addition to the solo one - that might actually be plug-and-play.

Someone who actually owns and Adventurer could probably tell you more.

HTH.

Seat

My '96 Adventurer has a stock double seat. It has a key lock under the rider portion and a second pull latch underneath the passengers section.

I do not think it is stock, and it is definately not from a late model Adventurer ('99-'01), they only made the 2-up version for those models. It might be from the earlier years (95-98) as they did make those for the adventurer (as did Corbin, but no longer for the newer models).

Good luck!

By the way excellent look with the paint job!

DHALL, I know that avatar! On your feet or on your knees!

That doesn't look like a stock Adventurer either. Too short from the tank to the seat latch.

What would you need to see to figure it out? I can take pictures and measurements. I just want to know what seat I should get. I like the gunfighter look.
