Factory Pro Ignition Advance Rotor

I received my ignition advance rotor from factory pro yesterday evening (Part #RTR-TRI-21-04 (+4 degrees)). The Pre-98 label on their website is total hogwash. On the label, it says "Replaces OEM #T1290110", which was the part # stamped on the OEM rotor of my 2000 model. In a previous thread, someone mentioned bikebandit having the same # rotor for all models, so I would assume the Factory Pro rotor would work on any 900 triple.

The results are going to be subjective, but I feel that it did make a LARGE improvement in throttle response. As far as the claim of added horsepower, it "feels" like I have more power, but only a before and after dyno would prove it (and I'm not paying for one). All in all, for the price of $55 and the 10 minutes it took to install it, I say it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Other info that may have come into play:

I always run the highest octane fuel anyway, so I don't know if the advanced timing would be a problem with lower octane fuel.

2000 Tbird, 955 cams, Thunderbike exhaust, K&N pod filters, S3 ignitor

Thank you so much for your impressions on the advancer. I am sure that many on this forum, like me, were waiting to hear what you had to say about it.

Good to hear, as I should be getting mine in the mail tomorrow.

Hey Bad,

Did you have to replace the gasket when you put in your new rotor?

I didn't replace it, but I had a spare on hand.
Murphy's Law states that if you don't have one on hand, it will tear and the dealership will be out of stock.

In my first post, I also should have mentioned that Factory Pro never responded to my email inquiring about whether or not the rotor might work on my 2000 model.
