TBS/Legend handlebars

Anybody know the difference in rise, run, return, etc.. between TBS and Legend bars? I am looking at a set of TBS bars and know they are different than what's on the Legend I'm just looking to figure out how different. Anybody done sport bars on a Legend?

In another thread (a while back) someone listed the differences. BASically the TBS is shorter, more forward and lower. This is matched with more rearset pegs as well for the TBS. Not sure but maybe mounting the TBS bars to your Legend will eventually make your arms longer ;-)

Hi,

I know very little about the exact Legend spec (I have a Thunderbird), but I think your Legend may have the same "risers" as the Thunderbird? In which case the risers on the Thunderbird Sport are much taller, allowing for a much flatter set of bars to be fitted. If you go for the Sport bars you will need the "stalky" risers to clear the tank, etc...

Worth checking............, and perhaps pricing in new risers?

Ciao,
Geoff

TBS Bars/Risers

I have some TBS bars and risers that I bought from someone on this site a few years ago and put them on my Legend. They looked great but were just too far forward for me. I had to sit at the very front of the seat and I never felt that I could relax. Also getting some weight on the front tire when cornering quickly meant practically sitting on the tank.
I tried a cople of other bars to no avail. I settled on the Triumph Lower bar kit and its good but not exactly where I want it to be yet.
the stock risers are so low I am still just a bit uncomfortable.
After searching all around for a solution I think the Triumph Lower Bars kit and Speed Triple Risers will be the best combo. Amazingly the cost for the S3 risers is less than any other aftermarket risers I have seen. (about $63).
