After a bit of searching, I'm getting conflicting information. Some say their triple classics came with SS lines, some say they didn't. Anybody know for sure... I'd feel like a right dunce if I ordered SS lines for my legend only to find out it already had them.

Any way to tell with your existing lines? I'm a bit scared to slice into the black plastic overwrap...

later bikes came with braided lines on the front - easily identifiable as they are only about 3/8" or so in diameter and have a black plastic coating. Earlier non braided lines are about 1/2" diameter and have a rubber coating (like the line on the rear).

Is there a specific year for 'later bikes', or is it one of those things that gradually got rolled in?

I'll see if I can spot the rubber/plastic difference when I get home tonight.

I think there was but I am not sure exactly when - I think it was sometime around 99

Checked this morning, I'm 83% sure they're already SS... they look different then the line going to the rear brake, and they're only about 3/10" in diameter.
