carb jetting

I recently put a set of Triumph off-road pipes on my 2001 legend, and it seems to be running a little lean now. Can someone point me in the right direction with respect to what sizes are needed to modify the carburation for this exhaust? My airbox is stock.

You don't really need to rejet if you just changed the pipes - just adjust your idle mixture screws to 2.25-2.5 turns out from fully seated and you should be fine. If its the popping that is making you think you are too lean its normal. The carbs on these bikes go lean on overrun, adjusting the idle mixture as described will help but not eliminate it.

Okay, so I looked at this and the idle mixture screws don't seem very accessible. Do you need to remove the tank, airbox, etc. to get at them??? And take the carbs off???

no, they are on the underside of the carb - and a pain to get to. I use a small screwdriver bit between two fingers but the middle carb is really hard to get to and can only be done cold. There is a special tool for this but its expensive.

Additionally on the US bikes if this has not been done before there may be small metal plugs covering the screws - we used to have details in the photo album but those are offline right now. Perhaps somebody can provide some pics.
