Lowering revisited - (was: Hyper-links not working)
Well I went back to my old post on lowering my wifes T-bird and the link keeps redirecting me to the home page of Rat.Net. I am going to make the suspension links and was needing the page to determine the lenght that I need. Lowering the preload lowered the bike but she prefers the ride of the bike with more preload so new links are being called for.
So far I like the new board so I am probably doing something wrong for the links. Thanks for the help, T-Mac

No your not doing anything wrong. Your old link is incompatable with the new forum structure and will not work. You are redirected to the defualt page.

Any links (wiki, search engines, your bookmarks) based on the old forum structure will not work and you be directed to the home page.

Thanks for the info.

Is there a way to get the info from an old post then? I need to know the dogbone lengths to lower my wifes bike. Info from the old post had varying lengths and the amount each length lowered the bike.

T-Mac is this the info you need . i'd saved it when i did mine

Legend drop links will do the trick. These dog bone looking things on the rear suspension from a legend will lower it 1" & 1/4
Or you can make your own, 1"X1/4" mild steel flat bar. Cut to 8.5"
STock links are 7" centre to centre.
To lower 1 inch holes are drilled 7&1/4" c to c
To lower 1 1/2" 7&3/8" c to c
To lower 2" 7&1/2 c to c
Drop the fork legs through the triple trees a maximum of 5/8"

By the way I forgot to mention the holes in the drop links are 15/32" diameter
