I'm confused. On what I think was my last ride of the season the starter began to act up on my 03 Tbird.
Stopped for gas and when I tried to restart the engine the solenoid clicked but no starter.

Tried this a number of times. No success. Tried moving the side stand - clutch lever - in and out of neutral and turned the switch on and off a number of times. No help.

So I walked the bike to the back of the gas station where there was a small incline to try to bump start the bike. Did not work. Then I tried the starter switch again. Started right off.

I have tried the starter a couple of times in the garage since. Starts right off.

I only have about 6,000 Km on the bike. Any suggestions?

Or, given that this happened on Halloween should I just chalk this up to the curse of the Prince of Darkness. :-D

What state is your battery in , are the fluids up? My 95 s3 does this on occasion as if the brushes are across the commutator ring. So by putting her in gear and rocking, something moves and then she'll start - similar to what you did. Other than that itsth a Mysthstery! Sorry! Maybe the starter button got a crushed spider across the terminals .... naa! But back to the battery - if she's sat a couple of days mine will not start until I charge for 2 or 3 mins then she'll fire right up which I find wierd too !

I had this happen to me once earlier this year. It was at a service station. Bike hot, tried to clutch start it , couldnt get up enough speed to get it going. Tried the starter again and away it went. Never given any trouble since. Weird ...welcome to the twilight zone.
