Well it was six weeks yesterday since I had my hip replaced. I had a visit from the physio yesterday and she gave me some new excersises to strengthen me up to ride. "Try a short ride" she said.
I only went down to the bike shop, but geez didnt I get a smile from it. Couple more weeks and I'll be back riding everyday. I miss it I really do.
Surprising when I checked the tyres they were over 30 psi, battery was flat( got a new one) So I rode to the bike shop to check charge, as some idiot left my multimeter switched on and flattened the battery ( see a trend here, the wifes car was flat yesterday too, I may need a battery for that too). Charging all good 14.4 volts at 3,000 rpm. Now all I need is a couple weeks to get a bit stronger.

I am hopefully returning to work on monday. Should be good, I am getting cabin fever here big time.

Funny you say that, a good riding mate of mine Tok, just got out of hospital from getting his pacemaker fixed. He has had since he was 33, he is only 45 now. I'm only 50. I feel like a teenager again. This has given me a whole new lease on life.
My sister asked me what was wrong with me, I asked what she meant, she said she isn't used to me being so bloody optimistic. :-D

Woodsie, just caught up with this thread [I'm from the country so type slow please].

Glad to see your up and about again. Any hospital/home time is the pits, so that first 'breakout' is something to savour.
