yellow or black??

If there is no "correct" then what are some opinions- the 04 is the reverse of the 1st year tbs (one is yellow and black and the other is black and yellow...) pics??

here is EARLY (more yellow than black) TBS with yellow cowl:

I think that I would be inclined to go for a black cowl and have some yellow panels with gold coach stripes painted on the sides to match the tank.

I was sorta thinking too that black is what is right but that then it might look just like the seat- your yellow touch is nice- I'm kinda on a budget right now. Married with non rider wife- all mods are stealth mods!!

Wombat- are you thinking that the black is what belongs there- add touches later??

My "panic" is that I ordered one and I THINK the guy said it is yellow. That's why I'd like to know if they are year specific- if so, and black is 04 I can easily go to black (I ordered by year)...so far the place seems willing to work with me. It may even be black anyway- things usually work out in spite of my second guessing!!

If I had to just have the one color, it would be solid black to match the fenders.

The yellow can always be added later, when time and budget permits, or some cool checkered stripes (like on the early Thruxtons) would look cool also.

I think either color would look good - in fact the yellow may break up the black a bit. If you change your mind then getting the cowl repainted would not cost much (it was about $50 to do mine)

Wombat and Mick: Thanks- both helpful posts. I REordered in black. But I agree with both of you that a little yellow would be nice- Mick- there is SO much black around it that all yellow might stick out a bit much for me- some reference to the tank yellow (with pin striping- if possible- will be on the wish list!) I'll post pics when its installed.
