My TBird was 10 years old when I bought it. I only have one key. Today's silly question coming up....

How can I get a spare?

Just take your key to a place that cuts keys.
Most hardware stores do it here in the states.

Most will have a blank that will work, if not, you can get a blank from Triumph for about $15 and have it cut to match your existing key.

I think I paid around $5 for the spare key I had made by one of the vendors at a bike show.

I bought a blank from the dealer and was told I could take it to Home Depot and have them cut it.

When I went to Home Depot they looked at me like I had three heads!!!
They use an automated key cutter and didn't have a template that worked with the key blank.

I went to the local Yamaha/Suzuki dealer and they had an old style key cutter and cut the key for me.

I bought a blank from Triumph and took it to a lock smith who told me that he could not cut it.......so.....I went to my local True Value Hardware store and they cut it no problem for free. I guess that because I brought in my own blank he didn't know how to charge me.

dealer you're vin no.and you should get an original,
assuming locks havn't been changed.
Good luck!
