Hey all,

Does anyone have any experience with LED indicators/blinkers on their Triumph? I'm looking to replace the pitted chrome covered plastic original indicators on my TBS. I'd rather go with LED lighting as it seems to be a bit brighter but don't know if they'll work on T Birds.

Anyone install any in the past?

As normal, any help offered would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I am about to install a set of LEDs on my adventurer, you must eaither install a new flasher unit (15$) or put in some kind of load in the circuit (resistors).
The stock flasher is made for incandecent bulbs, which require more power, and when LEDs are wired in, the flasher thinks the bulbs are burned out, and flasshes really fast. so to counter this, add a resistor, at each indicator, of buy a new flasher, (which is what I did). hope that helps some.

I'm also fitting LED's - the mini's offered by Shock Racing which I bought here at bikebandit

The following LED relay is available for $12.95 plus ship through superbrightleds.com and is compatible with the stock item - should be plug and play, I'll let you know.

CF13GL-02

In case you don't know... these aftermarket LED indicators are not DOT-approved - I don't know if there are any exceptions.

Ted....

They're not really bright but acceptable - IMHO. I put a pic in my Workshop album - click under my sig. I'll add a couple more of how I fitted them when I have time.

One thing I noticed with the Shock Racing two-packs... the colour varied distinctly, one was more yellow and the other was more orange. Luckily, having bought two packs to do front and back - I was able to pair the yellow one from one pack with the yellow one from the other pack and put those on the front. The orange ones will go on the back.

Obviously, it would have only been noticeable when the hazards were on - which I hope would rarely happen! But I'm sufficiently anal that it mattered :-D
