And now for the finale, yes kids it was the battery! (I know its a bit of a letdown)
I did however learn yet another thing. The EverStart ES12SBS (AGM type)that is sold at W*l-Mart will fit but, not correctly.
The EverStart manual however promises otherwise.
(unless I read it wrong)
It is shorter than the Yuasa(not a problem) equally as thick (again no problem) but wider by half an inch or so
So you cannot get the little battery door on.
Also the terminals are at the "back" of the battery.
(The cables do reach, however no problem.)
I did temporarily wire it into place but will have to find a more elegant solution. The price I thought was good only $63 and that includes the tax and $9 re-cycling fee
So when your Hinckley Classics start acting up, Buy a Battery! (just avoid the EverStart ES12BS)
If your bike runs out of gas, Buy a battery!
(just avoid the EverStart ES12BS)
When you stop for lunch, Buy a battery!
Aww, alright I guess you got my point.

:-D

Hey thats funny. I just went to start my bike after it has sat for three weeks. Its flat. Real flat. So I topped it up and it's on charge as we speak. Hopefully its OK. I didnt prepare before I packed the bike away. I thought oh yeah I'll start it every week or so. (I just had a hip replacement) Well I was wrong. If I need a new battery they are only 72 aud. The Yuasa is about 180 in Aus.

Replace the battery by all means. If its buggered.

Advance auto parts sells a direct replacement battery. I don't recall right now the brand name, but the tree times or so I needed one, I got it from them. Fits right in, no problems. If you're west of Colorado, I'd check at the Parts America web site.
