Ok planning the jobs for the winter.
Anyway just wanted to know what oil to use in the legend front forks, what make etc and would it be worth changing to a differant grade of oil pro cons etc
If I change the front what can be done with the stock rear shock?

When I changed the fork oil on my '98 TBS I went up from the recommended 5 weight to 10 weight (can't remember the brand). It impoved handling and reduced dive under heavy breaking with no adverse reactions. Rick has a great article on this.

My shop manual says 10W-20 fork oil for the Legend (TB, Adv) from VIN 43510 up.

If your problem is front-end dive on braking and soft handling, then perhaps you should consider replacing the stock fork springs with Progressive variable-rate springs. I've fitted them on my Adventurer and it made a HUGE improvement.
