My 98 TBS started running poorly today and I was sure it was electrical. It was actually the tiny fuel filter inserted into the carb gas inlet. A very small pinch of rust or dirt in this will starve the carbs for fuel.

Thanks for sharing the tip - another little Triumph idiosyncracy worth keeping in mind.

BTW: If you're in Lancaster, I thought you'd be in a horse drawn buggy rather than a TBird?

Cold starting is now fixed too. And here I thought my rejetting caused the problem.
My lady and I aren't amish, but I do drive her buggy

Hey pappy, wish I'd read this before writing my last message, "riding season is here again'. As mentioned there I found some fine sediment in this little 'hidden' filter. Were your running problems the same as I had? It would help to confirm that I *have* fixed the problem.
regards
Ian
