I have bought some TBS risers, but I have not seen them yet.

I plan to install them on my T-bird, along with drag bars.

Just wondering if there are any unforseen pitfalls. From photos it looks as as though the risers are a different shape at the bottom.

Did anyone who has done the swap have any priblems? Thanks.

Slinky...I guess it's a bit late, but you could make your own risers with 1/2" sockets and 10mm bolts. All stainless, of course. Inexpensive, and not too bad looking either.

Just a thought.

I've had TBS risers on my T'bird for several years now. I've tried drag bars, but have since found Triumph's "Lower Bars" to be more comfortable. I also fitted TBS 'rearsets, as although the lower bars were an improvement over the original 'cowhorns', I found the tops of my thighs would cramp up. The current configuration has remained constant for a couple of years now. Re: the risers. A simple straight swap over.

Thanks guys
I got the risers at a bargain price, along with a top yoke. I can sell the yoke off so the risers will probably cost me close to zilch. I did think about using 1" stainless spacers as an alternative.

Ian,
I just decided on Drag bars for the look, I have not really thought about the ergos yet. The ironic thing is I have been looking for TBS risers for months, by last Saturday I had given up on the idea and bought a set of slightly lower bars with a different bend. Then the TBS risers came along.

I went to fit the TBS risers today and found that the bolts are too short- even the longer TBS riser bolts are about 15mm too short.

Now, the problem is the M10 bolts that Triumph used have a 14mm head (to fit the recess) instead of the metric standard 17mm head.

Back to the drawing board. I suppose I could use some 17mm hex bolts and grind the heads down, as they will not be seen anyway.
