I have not tried the Avon's yet, but of the rest (Battlax 1 or 2 or Metzlers) the Michelin Pilot Roads seem to work best for me. Last set cost me about 250 US and hang in there for 8-10K if you're nice to them.

Just put the Continental Sport Attack on the front of mine. Not enough clean roadway to respond, but good start so far. Will probably put the matching Road Attack (next harder tire) on the rear soon. Will have to go to the Legend size (wished I had geared it up in recent chain/sprocket change). :hammer:
