Do you remeber my Adventurer, The Capuccino Racer?
Here's in her wonderful last version, with:

- a S3 camshafted TBS engine with lotta mods
(On this swap I will post something soon)

- new original design seat filled with tempur
(For all the people who said CB400 one was awful)

- Tarozzi hand-maded rearsets instead of RAASK
(www.tnk.it)

- Lotta luggages and the same girlfriend
(I still like her a lot  )

Here with less things on (I promise to do a photo without luggage frames)

UMPF, I mistaked...

I was about to post in "Let see yourtriple classic" and pressed NEW TOPICS

Bytheway I have something to ask you all:

The original engine broke between a rod and engineshaft.
I asked mechanic to put my Sprint Cams on the new one.
After engine swap my bike seems to have very-very long gears...

It comes to 100 MPH in fourth gear (about 8000 RPM), then It's not able to rise up (even if there are two gears left)

Can it depend from difference in wheel size or it has really lost power? (for esample the TBS KEINH i found weren't so good).

My plan was to put on a 48 teeth rear sprocket and to watch if it coud be better. Shall I first do a Dyno-Run to evaluate if could be a power matter? How much have to expect from this configuration (original main jets).

Let me know...

Do a search on the cam swap and look at Jimmy900 (or is it jimmyj900?) member photo album (moderator at the General modifications page). He did a lot of work upgrading his bike and had a lot of comments.

Others (tbstunta, etc) have done the mod as well. You can search the member name and see what they have posted for help. I know you have to change the igniter box to take advantage of the higher rpm range (the stock unit has a lower rpm cut out). I am guessing some jetting might be called for, as well as air box modifications from stock. Mick Maguire has insight as well (the moderator for this page).

To AVATAR:
the girlfriend or the bike?

To Mojoinico:

So you think could be a Power matter, more then a gear one?

CAM Swap gave me no worry on the other engine: (3 holes in the airbox, mainjets 110), except I broke.

I was concerned about TBS engine on the ADV. There is someone who made a similar mod?
(also TBS eng on TB could be good).

Thanks in advance.

TNKX, Your bike is nice too...
Elegant Muscle look with comfy wife seat.
And naturally the best fairing on the market.

TO not be OT.
I wrote about technical iussues in the appropriate forum.
I hope MICK or some SupernaturalEngineMaster will reply me.
