New Triumph for me! I picked up a blue Tiger 1050 this evening at Capital Area Triumph (near Harrisburg). I am thoroughly stoked! I traded in my Tbird there, so if anyone is looking for a well-cared for Thunderbird with lots of goodies, call CAT and talk with John.

Here it is in the daytime when I first tested it nearly a month ago. I picked up their demo with very low miles. I love it!

My 01 Tbird was a fantastic bike for me, and I will miss it on a certain level. But the Tiger is more in line with where I'm at now as a rider. I'm very happy with my decision.

I want to thank all the wonderful and helpful users in this forum, particularly Mick, Jimmy, Sware, vonbonds, and TBSstunta. I also appreciate the fellow owners that I've met, including BigAl and Dhall, and others who aren't even on this forum. I wish you all the best with your Tbirds, TBS's, Adventurers, and Legends. They are great bikes! I'm sure I'll pop my head back into this forum on occasion.

FYI - if anyone is interested in a used National Cycle Plexifairing 3 with hardware that fits a Tbird, please PM or e-mail me. $80 USD, which includes shipping within the lower 48 states.

Cheers and see you on the road!

And I thought England was too cold to grow rice!!

Just kiddin', but I can't get my head around the camel hump tank on a brit bike. Yeah, I know I'm a dinosaur, I'm just waiting for my mexican gulf rock to land.

Alex, congratulations! I knew you had the bug for this bike on ST.N . Hopefully we can finally meet up one day in Ephrata for a Sunday breakfast they are so famous for.

Enjoy the ride and don't be a stranger in this forum. Once a Classic rider always a Classic rider .

Congrats guy, it's all about owning what you love isn't it?
I kind of thought you were a fixture around here, hope you continue to hang with us. You have a bounty of useful info in your head and we appreciate it. Best regards Eric

Tommybro - thanks. I'm sure I'll make some vids, eventually - I haven't even cracked open the owner's manual yet. Lots to do and stuff to order - in time.

Yeah, vonbonds, I'll catch up with you someday. And you're right that I'll always be a Classics rider, even if Trident150 thinks I ride rice now. Lol. And yeah, Eric, I'll be stopping in all the time as I'm so conditioned to hitting this forum.

Long live the Triples. :chug:

Here's a pic from my final ride on the bird -

And blown away over my new Tiger. I kept waking up this morning, anxious for the day to start so I could ride it again.
