Hi all,

I just had my first serious ride for the season up here in Ontario today. During the ride I noted one of my fork seals is seeping. I'm obviously going to have to get them changed, but I'd love to put a set of gaters on for a bit more of a retro look while the forks are apart. SO, I'm looking for info on what fork boots will fit my 98 TBS. Anyone who can help with either a Triumph stock # or distributor in Canada or the US, I'd appreciate the help immensely.

Cheers!

Bella corse has the boots that I like. Texastri turned me on to them. I think they fit great and look great.

Dennis Kirk, most local shops will also have a suitable set (used them over the years on Yamaha's and Honda's). You can even get colors to abuse people with (but no sparklies....)

I got these from Bellacourse last winter. These are the $60.00 ones. Pretty heavy duty and have less ribs.

Sprint Manufacturing in the UK stock fork gaiters - I have them on my TBird:

Give them a call. I think they are quite happy to ship to North America as several members on here have used their services in the past.

I just fitted gators from Bella like Tommybro's on my 2K-TBS they look great.

I replaced my seals also because they were leaking. It is fairly easy to do it yourself. The book call out for a special tool but I used a piece of 3/4 inch square tubing and it worked great.

Probably will, I don't think there is much difference in the fork sizes between the two. I would also like to say that prior to fitting the boots I put a good coat of wax on the tubes which I did not wipe off. Boots can harbor moisture and should be checked from time to time to make sure the hard chrome doesn't pit under there.

I have always used good quality moto crosser gaitors and cut them to fit.

There is the odd little wrinkle to it, but it always works well.
