Thunderstorms on monday here in upstate NY were a blessing in disguise as they washed the roadways of the winter gravel and salt.
Got home from work to find 60 degree sunny weather, fired up the legend and took her out.
At first only seemed to be running on 2 cyllinders (bad gas from storage) but after a brief warmup and a 3rd gear tuneup she cleared her throat and began running like a champ!

Had to cut the ride short, but it was great to get it going again.

Same here in Luxembourg, nice weather and all...

The first couple of weeks after winter are always special - noticed it yesterday, that I basically had to start from scratch again and become familiar with the weight of the bike as well as accelerating and braking points.

Still, what great fun :-D

It'd be great to ride all winter, but you all in the warm southern climates don't know how great the first ride of the season is. Took my TBS on a 100km blast on the weekend and it was fine. :-D

Update from VI. I have officially left my vanpool and today was my first commute of '07 on the TBS. It was GREAT!! Going to be a Triumphant summer! :-D

I might live in South Carolina, but as a sailor, the first ride after a deployment, no mater what time of year, is always special.

Amen brothers. I toodled around my block several times in early march and fiddled with maintenance. But that just isn't the same as that first looong ride and getting reacquainted with your beast. :hammer:
