Been looking at all the 'getting back on the road' threads and having the same problem. The battery is off the tender, cranking fine. The gas tank was full (no stabilizer though) and i cranked it until the battery drained. No turnover..nothing but cranking.

sounds like i might need to drain the carbs to get to the fresher fuel...

any help in this process would be appreciated!

On the bottom of the carbie bowls and in the horizontal position there is one allen headed bolt per bowl. Undo this a turn or two, then your bowls will drain out the nipple end under the carbie.

You'll need a long allen key for the middle carb, I use a 1/4" socket set with a ratchet and extensions and a torx bit, 3mm I think?

I was able to get to the outside pair on my Legend, not the middle one.
Question: Where do you let the gas go? I ended up letting it drip on the motor from the left side, this made me nervous as the alternator is directly below, I let it dry for a LOOOOONNNNGGG time before I cranked it again.
There is too much machinery packed way to closely on these bikes to make them easy to work on.

Shove a bit of rag beneath the carb before you undo the screw and this soaks up the petrol without spilling onto the engine.
