Time to rebuild by "totalled" 2000 Legend. I may need to replace the front forks. Scot D. suggested a 43mm Showa. Is there a particular bike that a Showa fork is originally part of. Any suggestions folks?
Thanks, Eric

If one were to put forks from a ZRX1200 on to a Thunderbird, how would that change the riding position, rake and steering, etc and so on. Or doesn't that make a difference?

Thanks,
Udroma

ZRX forks on a TBird:

It lowers the front a little but handling is fine. Rake and trail affected accordingly.

The biggest hurdle is that you would really have to change the entire front end (not just forks) in order for it to be a boilt on swap. You may need to re-shim the rear wheel in order to get correct alignment, but I may be wrong (I cant remeber if the front wheel offset was the same - I think it may have been).

Thanks for the info Mick. I'm really just dying for twin discs up front would you know of another way besides replacing the entire front end? Would it be easier to find a TBS front end?

Thanks,
Udroma

TBS front end is a very easy swap if you could find one - they are rarer than hen's teeth - brakes wise they arent a patch on the zrx either.

A ZZR 1200 front end will also work. The fork slider is different than the ZRX unit I believe.
