1. When adjusting the chain, should the bike be on the centerstand, rear wheel off the ground?

2. What's involved in replacing the rubber chain-wear block on the swing arm?

I have always held the bike vertical with the rear wheel off the ground to measure and adjust the chain. Having said that, if it became necessary to adjust the chain on the road, I wouldn't have a problem doing it on the sidestand.

I seem to recall replacing the chain block is easy enough once the front sprocket cover and the chain is removed. Provided the bike is vertical I didn't need to drain the oil either.
