One jacket here- Foxcreek vented racing- zip out liner and more layers when cooler. I just ordered my second pair of gloves- Lee Parks gauntlet (pricey) from foxcreek. Hope they are as versatile (weather-wise) as the comments on my search say they are!

Someone has a hand fetish -- doh!

I broke down in early fall and bought a Gergering full sleeve liner and gloves, as the Tiger hand guards weren't enough. OOOH-LA-LA, the liner is nice, but he gloves are sublime! Still wished I had a little more palm length (I like to cover the brake and clutch as much as possible), but I can now ride without unconsciously gripping the bar (so I have more control). I bought the parts to install a handle bar heater (the wrap around kind), but didn't want to spend the effort in trying to make a sano install on a naked bike (switches and wiring), especially as I have intentions to modify my bar and risers. Our temps tend to run all over the place in the ends of the season so having a pair of heated gloves and liner give me a bit more range.

Now to find a non-vented leather jacket for a sub $350 price and NO outside pockets (I don't understand the need -- get a tank bag and all you need is an inside pocket for a wallet & phone for when you are OFF the bike -- no bruises if you fall off then). An offset main zipper would be nice too (less bulk when you lean forward -- meaning pressure on your adams apple). I also liked the neoprene rolled collar on my JR jacket.

may have to pry the old wallet open. Oh, look here for rider reviews:

I wear a bandana when it gets colder -- makes a good gasket under the collar and evens out the pressure.

Thanks to all for the feedback. Most of my riding is in the 50-80 degree range. Maybe I'll go with the zipper vented leather as my primary jacket. Gte a mesh for over 80 since it may be less hot than the perforated leather, and continue my current cordura and liner for temps under 50 degrees. Now if I can jst get my wife to clear some of her stuff out of the closet so I can fit all this gear.......

Try this:

"Gosh honey, this jacket's kinda greasy and smells funny. I dunno...maybe it's the dried bug guts. You might want to move some of your stuff..."

Jim :-D
