With the Tbirds starting to age themselves, anyone out their got a repacement seat (king/queen)? The stock seat is OK but my back isn't what it used to be. and long hauls are starting to take theri toll. I'm limited on coin so I'm looking for something used.

I believe Great Bay M/sickles has some still in stock. They are still listed there.

I had my Legend seat rebuilt by Sargent but if three is too large then the Sargent is also out of the question. I had a lot of mods made to it along with a colored welt and perforated leather and it cost five. Great seat and more comfortable than a K&Q but as you can see they were really proud of their work.

If you really want to do it on the "cheap", i got a stock pan off the site, tore it down and molded the foam myself. covered it with some gel pad and had it covered for $75 (including foam, gel and covering). haven't sat on it yet, but even if it isn't what i want, i now now how to do it myself and don't have to worry about scouring ebay or the classifieds for one. will report my findings when the snow melts.

Cool. I'm looking forward to hearing about this. Maybe a DIY post?

I've never thought the Legend seat was very comfortable and always wanted to change. I just got a Sportskinz from Sargent to fit it, perforated leather and a green welt. This is made to fit the stock seat and you install it. $70. I also had them ship me some of their Atomic foam to use as an upgrade. I installed the new cover, looks GREAT, and tried it out without doing the foam. It seemed to really help. I've got a 400 mile round trip scheduled for this weekend to give it a real test. If I don't think it is enough I'll pull the cover off and upgrade the foam and that should do it.

Sportskinz was $70,
Atomic foam was $20 per section. I got enough to do drive and passenger.

Much cheaper and it is really pretty simple to do.

Just another idea.

After the trip this weekend I would deem the new cover a success. 220 miles each way, out on Friday back on Saturday. Before I would not have attempted this as I would be in pain after 1/2 hour, but for some reason the cover makes a big difference. I was sore after getting home, but nothing like it could have been.
Overall I would say this was money well spent. Seat looks much better and works well.
If anyone cares let me know and I'll post up a pic with the new cover on so you can see what it looks like.
