Too bad about your bike. Having not read your previous post of the problem I may be presumptuous but a real mechanic could get any bike running in a week tops if the parts are available. Now you know what shops not to buy from. Buy a bike from a shop with a good mechanic. It may not be your dream bike but riding any bike is great fun.
BTW, I have put 28,000 miles on my '99 Legend now and I consider it a very dependable bike. I fully expected to buy another bike after I had it for 4-5 years but it is running so good I can't part with it.
Hope you are back in the saddle soon.

Well ....I have been writing off the frum with dicko ....because we have nearly the same problems! My 1999 Thunderbird was PERFECT! My 2002 has been crap! Only 3500 problem-filled KM::::not MILES! ...and the best I can say, is that Triumph have extended the waranty until the problem(s) are diagnosed and resolved! Has been in the Nicosia shop for months at a time....fixed? Nope, get it back and while the mechanic/gopher watches, I start the bike....it runs for 2 minutes, amid smailes....and then stops..............

It has now been put on a ship and sailed away to another shop....a Triumph-designated expert, who should be able to fix it. I 'phoned them after them having it for 2 weeks......but they hadn't had time to look at it!!!!!!!!!!!

Depressing............yes...........

Still....my desire is to get it in perfect shape and sell it. So I can buy another Triumph. I KNOW it is a fluke and that the general quality is good......I know that when it is fixed, it is fixed, but I have "gone off it." I cannøt get pleasure from this particular bike anymore...it has given me too many headaches!
