After lusting for a Thunderbird for the last couple of years, I
am now the proud owner of the 1997 T-bird that was listed
in the classifieds by HeyMan. Thanks to this site for helping
me get this great machine.

I couldn't be more pleased with the bike. A good combination
of comfort, power and handling, not to mention it is an
absolutely beautiful motorcycle. I am looking forward to a
long happy relationship with this bike.

I would also like to add that I am very happy with the deal
I got. It is nice to buy a bike from someone who is honest
and straightforward. Really helps to instill confidence in your
new ride. Thanks Dan!

I will try to get some pictures of the new owner and bike
posted soon.

Welcome aboard and great choice on your bike. I'm kinda fond of them myself. :upthumb:

Hey ducstr,
Welcome to the group and congrats on FINALLY getting a real motorcycle. You'll soon forget all about that fancy ST4s and those $600.00 valve adjustments!

You need to update your preferences to show that you now ride the Tbird.

So when you selling the Beemer? I hear they make great boat anchors!

I think YOU should buy the beemer to tow along behind
your daytona. It might be a good back-up on our next road
trip. It is getting up there in the miles you know. . I will update my bio now to reflect the latest addition,
though it will be listed under my Eye-talian mistress.

Welcome, and congratulations on your new ride.

I ride a 2002 Thunderbird, and I have told many people that, if any bike in the world could get me into trouble, it is "Smiley", named because of the silly grins that appear on the faces of anyone taking it out for a spin.

Thunderbirds come with a hidden button that, when you bump it, turns you into an instant hooligan....so beware....

Again, welcome, and enjoy that new ride....hurry with the photos..

Bob

Way to go and welcome to the forum!

I just wish Triumph had enough sense to have kept making these great bikes.

There seems to be more loyalty and satisfaction with the triples than with the twins. A personal observation, only.

Anyway, this site has really great techies to help solve any problem or mod in your future.

I can't afford your Beemer because of all the repairs I'd have to make to it for it to be a worthy back-up bike :-D
I think there's a few more miles left in my tona yet.
Where and when are we going on our next tour?
