I have a Legend 2000 that needs a new rear brake pad. A mechanically minded neighbor who has done brake jobs on his cars tells me that he can do in 15 minutes and save me the $60 service fee. He has also done a significant amount of work on motorcycles. Before I let him do it I would like to know how others feel. Is it really as simply as he tells me. Brakes are serious and I don't want it to function anything other than perfect, you know what I mean!! What do you all think and has anyone done it.

Brake pads are an easy swap. They're easier than an oil change. If he owns a torque wrench it's likely that you can trust him.

Done it a million times, it's simple. Just follow the manual.
