I managed to get the factory seat on but now I can't seem to remove this thing!

99 Thunderbird Sport. Can anyone help? I remember reading about some modifications to the seat pan to make it easier to remove also but can't find that thread.

While your turning the key, pull the seat up and back..
You may have to wiggle the seat around a bit, but it will come off. You may have to push down in the middle a bit as well.. while moving the seat back so the little prongs clear the frame...

I just removed those large hook like things on the bottom of the seat. Makes it lots easier to put it back on.

It's a***** to get off and even worse to get back on. I used to have a 98 model and you have to be careful it's properly latched when back on......
