With so many people switching to aftermarket or off-road pipes, I was hoping I could someone willing to give me a good deal on one of those stock peashooters laying around the garage.

The mounting points on my left muffler appear to have broken off, dropping the threads into the pipe.

Now I've got a muffler held up by safety wire and a toggle bolt. It doesn't look cool. I've spent a crazy amount of money on this bike in the past year and can't stand the idea of paying the morons at the dealer another $300 for a new muffler.

Anyone able to help me out?

If you remove the two bolts that go directly into the side of the pipe I have read here that the nuts can fall inside of the muffler. If this happens I have no idea how you would replace them, your problem then wouldn't be solved if you got a new muffler since you would have to go through the same process. Not sure how you took them off though. Taking the rear footpeg off was the best way I could figure though. There is a place on this forum that is for buy sell or trading you might check there.

Yes, that's apparently what happened, though I didn't take the bolts out. They must have backed out from vibration.

Please let me know if any of you have some stock mufflers you're looking to unload.
