I wanted more of a sound from my 2004 tbs exhaust,
too quiet as a stock machine. Here is what I did for a great sounding machine-quiet at idle rumpy when you get on it and quiet when cruising. I bought a set of adverture off road mufflers from Triumph. You will have to modify the plate that attaches the mufflers to the frame of the bike but let me tell you the sound is beautiful to the ears!

I've recently fitted Triumph (race use only) slash cuts to my Adventurer. My fireblade riding mate took it for a spin and came back grinning. He said it was like riding a Ferrari. Now I'm grinning....

I also used the slash cuts but on a 99 Legend tt. I had to have the carbs rejetted. With what I did on my tbs, I do not think I will need rejetting. I thought the slash cuts were a little too loud.

I've got Toga reverse cones on mine. They sound throaty at idle and partial throttle, but when you roll on it? Yikes! That's a distinctive sound.

Vonbonds,
there's a picture of my TBS with the factory T'bird musical pipes on page 2 of the TBS section in the 'Triumph motorcycles' photo album. Not road legal, but not loud enough to offend anyone.
