I've just pulled my carbys to change the air filter so i thought i'd check the jetting and see what it was

bike is 96 TBird, Mikuni Carbs and with Triumph off road pipes - I'm in Australia (can get hot here) and I'm pretty much at sea level.

Main Jets have R and 90 on either side of the hole

Pilot Jets have R and 40 on either side of the hole

Needles have 5E1 on them and are set on 3rd slot from the top with no spacers

Idle Mixture screws are at 2 3/4 turns out

Are they the correct jets? I have a table that says 90 main jets are for about 2000mtrs

Those are the stock factory jet sizes for the T-birds with Mikuni carbs.
The 3rd slot on the needle is the factory needle setting.
Your bike should be running really well with just a few pops here and there on
decel.

I had the exact same settings on my bike before my Kafka era......

Hy Crusader,

I just open my Mikuni for the same purpose... I was wondering about the sliders - my carbs have been modified by the previous owner... and the slider have 2 big holes about 1.5mm / 2mm (0.06 / 0.08inches) as from what I remember about the thunderbird slider it only has 1 single hole about 0.5mm/1mm ?????
Does someone help??
