Looking at all the classics to own.....Ebay 1995 Trident 1500 miles appears to be treated much better than a good wife. anyone got an opinion on the Trident model? :???:

Love that T3 motor, comfortable standard riding position, well engineered and built. A bit heavy as were all T3 Hinckleys. A good handler, but no sportbike. Same weaknesses as other T3's: ignition coils, starter motor, alternator bolt. The true story of the English motor courier has been relayed here before. He put 250K miles on his Trident and Triumph gave him a new bike.
Happy bidding!

I recently bought a 96 Trident 900. I think it's a pretty solid bike. I've put 2k plus miles on it and love it. The only problems I've experienced were a cracked/pinched vacuum hose and a severely kinked (and poorly routed) fuel line. Took about 5 minutes to sort out. Since then, no problems. A mechanic buddy of mine w/ a 95 Daytona told me he checks/repairs his vacuum hose about every 3-4 months. He's logged appx 55k miles on it. Impressions? A really fun ride. Much faster than one might think (I've hit 125mph several times now). It handles pretty good and is comfortable as hell. Also, a few key things can really "update" the look in my opinion. I put on short-stalk blinkers, hacked the rear mud-guard, added a sport-screen, Daytona rear cowl etc... All in all, a great sport-tourer or commuter, cafe racer platform or just "fun in the twisties" bike". Here's a recent pic of mine (minus new D&D's...awesome!!!):

Also, go over to the T3 Sport forum for more insight. Wade

In my opinon it's ugly. But that's not ment in a mean spirted way..I like the way the Honda Element too .... and that's ugly too.

This post got me thinking, the classics shared a great deal and I wonder if for some reason a trident could do a simple bolt on of the other 95' classic items such as tank and seats, rear subframe ect...

Anyone know??
