I have been interested in making my Adventurer louder. I have stock cones that I punched out. Now I'm looking at putting some shorty pipes on that have removable baffles and are pretty much just a foot of open pipe.

I haven't had to jet yet. My bike is a cruz machine and it does it's job well. I'm sure 98% of my fellow british riders won't like these pipes but I could use some opinons on what its going to do the bikes ridablity.

They are a foot long, one side is 1.5" the other 1.3/4" Opinons, thoughts, comments....

(to be clear I want these pipes to work because of the look and history...other pipes aint an option...and at $24 a peice I can't go wrong unless the engine doesn't pull after installation)

As always thanks!!

I had a set similar to those on BSA Lighntning. Man they were LOUD I mean really loud, I got booked for excessive noise so I took em off before I sold the bike.

Yeah, they're gonna be loud -- and violate state and federal law unless you're installing them on a pre-1972 bike.

The Air box is the major restriction in the Classics so changing the exhaust has little effect on the air/Fuel mix. However if you don't like a lot of pooping on deceleration you will need to dial the pilot screws out to 2.5 turns from stock of 1.

However if you are after loud... the remove the cans(mufflers) and run it like that can be done in less than 20 minutes (2 foot peg nuts and unbolt the clamps) not sure I'd run it like that but it sounds cool and will give the idea of loud

Good bye stock cones!! I can't beleive the sound!! Took em out for a spin and I am blow away at how deep sounding these little buggers are.

I think the rear end needs to be lowered for sure now..You can see almost all of the rear wheel!! I have to check it out in the day light to see how I like the looks. It's going to take some getting use to.
