I just ordered one to mod' my 98 TBS. Any one here that's done this got any snippits of advice that may save me shagging things up would be appreciated. The light looks really small, any ideas for increasing the visibility of the brake light, maybe an add on LED bar or something that fits the cafe look. I was also wondering about the front a rear turn signals, anyone got a good replacement and attachment advice? Same goes for the location of the license plate, is it legal to mount it on its side, say by the rear footpeg bracket?

Cheers,

Martin

I purchased the tail light and mini indicators from mecatwin when I bought my undertray. The tail light has a license bracket with it, but you are right about the bightness/visibility of it.

All of it together cost over $300 with shipping, but I am satisfied with the quality

Any chance you coulde mail me or post a couple of close up pix of the hyperlite you installed? Did you use a universal kit, if so which model?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Martin

Hi TBSstunta, I saw beautiful pictures of your TBS, congratulation!
I was wondering about the installation of the tail light on the rear fender, I have a tail light cat eye type, seems similar to what Mecatwin sells, but the bolts seem very large for the protruding of the undertay??? If I drill , might not have space to fit the nuts,
Would somebody have pictures of the installation

I don't have any pics of the install, but its very straightforward. As I posted before I ditched the electricks it came with and used the hyperlights element. Its super bright and flashes with the brakes on.

If you drill just use a washer between the nut and plastic.
