Hey all,

I just ordered and received my new tires for my 2001 Thunderbird. Avon 45/46 110/80 18 and 150/80 16. The guy I ordered them from told me he would match the tubes up based on those sizes.

The tires and tubes came in, but I am concerned about the tubes. They seem big to me. The front size is 3.50/4.00 - 18. The rear is 5.00/5.10 - 16. Does that sound right? Thanks for any help.

- Ryan

Other Motorcycle: Can there be room for 2?
Are they marked for radial tire use?

They don't even say if they are for radial or bias-ply. These are Chinese "Kings Tire" tubes. I think I am just going to send them back. The rear one has the valve "offset". I don't think this correct.

Anyway, can anyone tell me if the sizes are correct? And can anyone tell me where i can order good tubes off the internet. (No reputable Shops in my vicinity.

Thanks

- Ryan

See if you can get right angle schrader valves (not offset). Wished I had looked for them.

I just called the place back that sent me the tires and tubes. They said their salesman made a mistake and the tubes they sent me were not for radial tires (not to mention the stem was "off center"). They refunded me for the tubes with profuse apologies. Going to call Baxter Cycle in Iowa and see if they can get me the ones I need. I will be asking for 90 degree stems.

Thanks,

Ryan
