popular replacements are by Hagon. More expensive ones by Penske and Ohlins.

I replaced mine with a Hagon that I bought from "David Quinn". There's a link on the top of this page from time to time. You might have to refresh to see it.

I totally recommend it but keep in mind that in order to change it yourself you will also want a torque wrench to adjust the correct NM on the Suspension bolts. If you don't own a torque wrench be sure to get the one that goes up to 250 ft/lbs. I foget the actual nm (ft/lbs) it is but it was a lot. Its an expensive replacement but if you do it yourself you save a little AND you can then adjust and rebuild it in the future if need be.

Thanks for your information, I looked up the information Is the Hagon shock better then the OEM from Triumph.
And you said that the Hagon is rebuild-able?

Most people like the Hagon better than the OEM, you'll like the price difference too. The OEM shocks (apart from the tBS item) are pretty poor.

Personally I was put off the hagon a bit as they are made in the old Girling facotry in the UK. Girling didnt have the best reputation for shocks years ago. But this is purely prejudice on my part.

Put a Hagon on my 01 T-bird two months ago. What a difference. Night and day. It really brings out the beauty of the T-bird.
If you decide to get a Hagon be prepared. You will have to call Dave Quinn. He will have a battery of questions for you. Block out some time for the call. This is not a this is what I need and here is my card# call. Plan on a complete questioning of your riding. He then sets the shock up. Then it arrives. You install it. And heaven.
I have a set of Hagon springs on order from Dave. Will let you know how those work out

Yeah dude, I was blown away by the change it made in my bike.

After that I got a Corbin and "forget about it"!!! Never need another bike for solo riding.
