Ok, I may be a bit frustrated at the moment, but does ANYONE know of a dealer that actually has parts in stock for the classics? I own a Thunderbird and have been waiting on parts for most of the summer. I would love to call up a dealer and order a part and have it at my doorstep in a few days versus about a month. The dealers that I have done business with have treated me fair and well, I would do business with them again and probably will in the near future from the looks of things. Just curious if there is such a place that exists in the states.

My dealer does a good job, but the same problem. Some parts may be on site, but most of the time I have to wait at least ten days.

Any dealer for any brand would be hard pressed to have parts immediately avaialble for an 11 year old bike.. Shoot, I have a hard time with a dealer having parts immediately available for my 6 month old Rocket..

I will say that I've ordered quite a few accessories from the motorcycle gear shops place advertised on this site in the upper left corner and they have been pretty quick to deliver

Try either PJ's in Albuquerque or Great Bay in New Hampshire. Both do business on the web and seem to have a pretty good supply. I've dealt mainly with PJ's and they've treated me real well.
I'm at work so I don't have the websites or phone numbers for you but both advertise in most of the magazines.

Cheer up! I've had a rear turn signal on order since the end of May!

I've been checking with the parts guy weekly since ordering it and this week he cancelled the order and re-ordered. Hopefully that will also cancel whatever screwup happened in the system.

Other than this specific debacle, I can't complain about parts orders. Everything I've ordered in the past 5 years has come in within 2 weeks of ordering, including all the obscure bits for repairing Mutato after the crash.

You might give Coweta Custom Cycles in Newnan, GA. a try. Becky has done a super fine job in getting anything I wanted for my '96 Adventure.
www.cowetacustomcycles.com or FAX 770-304-0104 or hard wire 770-304-0025.

Good luck

Go to a busier dealer. The slower dealers wait to they have enough to order before they order parts. Probably why on line dealers are quicker. Just a thought

A bit of follow-up...

My turn signal came in yesterday at the dealers.

That was one week after Zach (the part's guy) canceled and re-ordered it and a couple months after the original order.

So... Triumph has some screw-ups occasionally but if your parts order goes over a month, have them reorder.

Just picked up an upper radiator hose for my bike. 34 bucks, 2 weeks to get the thing.
