My rear pads are toast and in dire need of replacement. They've worn to the metal, and started pulsing during operation.

From searching here and other places, I've come up with the following part numbers.

Triumph T2020077
Nissin MN-146-EF
EBC FA196, as an alternate

I'd like to pick up some pads at my local Honda shop tonight. I called and gave them the Nissin number, and they said they only have Honda part numbers for the pads.

Does anyone please know the Honda part number for the above Nissin pads? I was hoping to pick some up on my way home and replace them tonight so I can go riding on the 4th.

Thanks!

Well, thanks anyway. The fourth shop I called has the EBC's in stock, so looks like I get to save money today!

Still, for future reference, if anyone knows the Honda number to crossover the Nissin number, that'd be great to add.

TTFN :-D

I don't know the Honda part number, but the pads are used on a whole load of Hondas. For example, 1997-2003 Honda GL1500 Valkyrie F6C (rear pads).

You can download a catalogue from the EBC site which lists every fitment.

Thanks Slinky. I got that EBC number from a previous post of yours found when searching, so thanks two times.

Here's a link to the EBC Catalog you mentioned.

I thought it would be simple for them to cross the Nissin number to Honda, but I only got static when I asked the Honda parts people. :???:

Hi,

I used my local Honda dealer for replacement pads some time ago, when I was in dire need. The ones I got were the rear pads for a VFR750/800. The part number was 43105-MY7-405. They appear to be sintered (like the EBC HH pads), so pull up great but did wear the rota high spots 'alarmingly' while bedding in - okay once bedded in. If I remember correctly, did have optional anti-squeal plates as well.

Hope this helps.

Ciao,
Geoff

The Buell Blast uses the same pads, I believe Buell spares are pretty cheap so it might be cheaper than a Honda dealer.

Thanks for that part number, GeoffE. I swung by my local dealer and had them cross it over the EBC number, and she came up with a Honda part number 06455-MW3-405, which are the pads for a VTX600 Shadow. They went on like a charm. $34.49USD. So both of these Honda Nissin pads will work.

These pads are sintered, I believe. That makes me kind of wish I went to the further-away dealer that had the organic EBC's. Hopefully my rotor will fair ok.

Cheers all. :chug:

I recently picked up some EBC pads for the TBS from a dealer in CO for less than $20/set.

Their website.
