Will it fit without major modification? Thanks

Sometime back there was a picture posted for a Legend and a T-bird where the two owners had switched seats. There were both happy with the results. I actually use a T-bird seat on my Legend as I find it more comfortable.
As long as they T-bird attaches with the screws in the back it should not be a problem.

That was me and Jeff W. He has the 01 Green Legend and I have the 01 Red and Silver T-bird. Seat switch was straight across - no mods neccessary.

Looks a lot like this:

I don't have a picture of Jeff's bike with my old seat on it, but I see him every month at the RAT meetings, and he still seems to like the seat. The only things I don't like about the Legend seat are that it is too narrow towards the front (which I didn't notice until I got flatter handlebars that rotated me more upright) and the fact that it's a bit thin and I can feel a lot of engine heat coming through it. Eventually I'm just going to get a custom seat made because neither the stock Tbird seat nor the stock Legend seat are really comfortable for long distance rides. The only one I haven't tried is the K&Q, but that thing is too ugly for me.

I'd love a Corbin, but since they only make the Corbin for the older (i.e. , locking seat) Tbird, and I don't feel like converting mine, the Corbin's out of the running.

Thanks guys. I like the looks of the Legend seat a lot better than the Tbird. I plan to use the Legend seat as a template to send to Sargent for the custom built job.

Well, won the seat on Ebay. I will use the saddle for a while to see how I like it. At the very least I have a great template for a Sargent or Corbin custom made.
