The lie was being told "okay sir..NOW we have things under control it will be out to you on the 14th"
On the 14th I called and was told "Yes sir..it will be out to you in 2 - 3 weeks".
Then as I explained how totally dissatisfied I was they shared that they had no record of the back rest I ordered along with the seat. Mind you it was all suppose to already be at my home at this time.
Now here's the crazy news. I got the product today and they agreed to pay for shipping and it looks like they tossed in a book (the history of corbin) but I'm not sure if this was a freebe or if everyone gets this book, either way I have already forgoten about it.
I love it. I wanted to hate it. You have to beleive me on this one fellas...I'm a small business owner and it gets me going when first level support doesn't know what they are doing in any industry so the chip on my shoulder was BIG.
I'm even not as inspired by the color as I thought I was going to be. I had to raise the position of the seat lock mechinsum to get it to work correctly (two washers added). Once I sat on it and tossed in the back rest I was sold. Hook line and sinker. The stich work is very nice. I have a very old corbin on my CB750F (75) and I love the stitich work still. I always wanted a brown seat and I thought I could get away with it matching under my tank ("copper") but I'm not sure about it at this point. It's so new looking it still looks plastic but once I get it broken in I think it's going to get the classic custom/bobber look that I've been going for.
Okay...here's the link to some pics you will have to find the album that is named "Corbin" for the latest.

I have been attempting to be that customer that Triumph was targeting when they produced the Adventurer, the typical American that wants to bolt on stuff and have a nice bike that does it all and so I continue to look to have it stand out and be as functional for long distance as well as local riding. I ride it to work daily and this seat really has me at that point we it is totally comfortable beyond my expectation when I got it some 5 - 6 years ago. (The Hagon helps too
:asb:
Okay. I hope someone in the future finds my rants usefull. After I return from my Cleveland to Chicago trip I will update this to say if I will ever buy another Corbin seat based on the product alone.
....Yeah..Sargent is next on the list to check out.
