My '02 TBird wouldn't start here the other day and the shop now told me that the starter had gone.
Or the brushes were worn out, but Triumph don't carry these as a spare - only the whole starter. A starter here in Norway costs $1000 - yes a thousand USD! (The bike cost 18,5' when I bought it new)
Question is any ideas how to get brushes? How long should a starter last (forever?) or is this a guarantee issue even though the guarantee time is overdue?

Any electric motor shop can repair your starter in a couple of hours for their regular hourly rate.
