I've read quite a few strings on this already, so I get the idea ... mostly. Some clarification requested though:

Cardinal Red (for a 2000 Legend) in the Paint Codes, is listed as made by Schoch, code # 673 OME 26.

When I go to Standox GmbH to get a formula, nothing comes up in manufacturer search by code. When I enter by name Cardinal Red, I have the option to choose Motocolor (0) or Motocolor (1). Each takes me to a paint called 'Cardinal Red-Met.' but both have different formulas. My German's a bit rusty but Motocolor (1) looks more accurate with red and purples in the formula.

Next question is ordering the paint. Once I have this code from Standox, do I just take it to any paint supplier and get my paint made? Or do I need to go somewhere specific, or to my local Triumph shop?

Thank for the help.

Forgot one more question. How far can I figure a quart of paint to go, compared to a gallon?

Anthony,

Go to or call a Triumph dealer with your vin number and have them verify your paint color. I went in to order some cardinal red for my 99 legend and the parts guy decided to check my vin number instead of just ordering what I wanted. Turns out my paint code from triumph was volcano red not cardinal red. So double check with a Triumph dealer about your paint code.
