Definately more comfortable. I rode with my stock seat the other day and couldn't believe how uncomfortable it is in comparison.

My skinny behind gets numb within the first 20miles of riding with the stock seat.
I had the same problem with my Adventurer seat so I fixed it.

The stock seat pan has a ridge about 3/4" high down the middle, so I built up either side of the ridge with a hard urethane foam until it was flat.

Then I trimmed the excess off the stock seat foam until it fit the modified pan and reinstalled the cover.

It looks totally stock but it's nice and comfy now! :-D

I will agree with everyone else. The single seat is substantially more comfortable than stock.

However I have a Corbin and find it even more comfortable than the Triumph Single.

Unfortunately Corbin does not make a seat for the TBS. The one they make is for the 97 and previous TBird std.

The only thing that needs to be done is the locking pin on the bottom of the seat has to be removed, reversed and repositioned. I also found that it fit better if you cut about a quarter inch off one end of the mounting plate before you reattached it.

Been thinking about it for several months, but when I found out that they are on the" Limited Quanity "List, at my local Dealer, I thought I'd better do it! So, if any of you Guys are thiking about a new Cowl Seat, don't wait too long, as the supply is Limited!

Its also worth mentioning that the solo seat gives you some storage under the hump; I can fit a Cycle Pump and plug kit under there with possib some room for something tiny.

Not without some mods, the TBS seat locks and the Legend doesn't have a locking mechanism.

Thanks for the fast response TBStunta!

Are there any good alternatives for the Legend? Maybe a Corbin Thunderbird seat .. or do the Thunderbirds have the lock latch too?
