Wondering if any other yanks have noticed any issues now that all of our gasoline contains 10% ethanol? I noticed on fill up today that the paint inside my tank neck has gone soft, and my carbs needed a good cleaning cleaning. Presumably the ethanol is acting as a solvent and flushing out the fuel system??
I use to live in Wisconsin where all gas is 10% Ethonal.
I had no issues with my Triumph (or my Ford for that matter) Now I do have a 97 with Mikuni's so I don't know if that makes a difference but we had to use it and it was much more expesive then the rest of the country.
Up the compression to about 14:1 and add carb heaters.
Jim
