Hey everybody I need some help. Got a customer that wants mufflers for his Legend and I'm having trouble finding something
other than full systems and cheaper than $4-500 Can anyone suggest some?

Sorry, but the only ones I could find for my bike (2000 Tbird) were Staintune, D&D and EPCO's. Whatever you do, DO NOT recommend any exhaust from JC Whitney. They suck.

I bought Staintunes for my bike and I am EXTREMELY pleased. Of the three I mentioned the EPCO's are the least expensive at $429 for the pair. I have heard the D&D's and they sound great and the guy I know who owns them likes them. I cant personally vouch for the EPCO's but everything I heard on them sounds pretty good. They seem to have a good reputation.

I say pay the extra money and be satisfied. I found when you try to go cheap, you pay more in the long run.

At the risk of hijacking this thread:

Could someone with experince compair the difference in sound and performance from these three after markets mufflers and drilling out the stock muffler?

I drilled mine out and I love the sound and did NO rejet so it was simple. Always wondered if it was a huge difference compaired to a D&D set up or something aftermarket.

The D&D's are a little louder than my Staintunes. I cant vouch for the EPCO's. I would have drilled mine out, but I didnt like the looks of the peashooters. I prefer the reverse megaphone pipes, which is why I bought the Staintunes. If mine had come with reverse megs I would have just drilled them out and been happy.

As far as performance I think it will boost the HP some when you drill the pipes out because it is not as restricted and therefore "breathes" better. If you really want to see a change in performance, get rid of the airbox and put K&N filters on. I increased my bikes HP from 69 to 81 (tested on a dyno) just by doing that and I can tell a BIG difference.
